Music Psychology Researcher
Hi, I'm Dr Landon S L Peck, a psychomusicologist currently working as a lecturer at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and the University of Lincoln and as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Oxford.
My research interests lie in the perception and occurrence of musical emotions, musically-informed religio-spiritual experiences, video game music, aesthetics and functionalist perspectives of music. I completed my DPhil in Music in 2023 at Christ Church, University of Oxford. My doctoral thesis investigated the phenomenon of musical awe, combining areas of philosophy, psychology and musicology.
